Mystery of Google boss to North Korea. Why?


The U.S. State Department says Google boss planned visit to North Korea "not useful."
Reasons Eric Schmidt visits were not disclosed, but reports said it was part of a humanitarian mission the U.S. politician Bill Richardson.



U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said, "We do not think that the timing of this visit."
Nuland added that Schmidt and Richardson "understand" the views of the U.S. government.


Richardson, former governor of New Mexico, involved in ad-hoc negotiations with North Korea in the last 20 years and help free a U.S. citizen who was arrested Pyongyang.


Last month, North Korea arrested a U.S. citizen of Korean ancestry, Pae Jun Ho, the number of alleged crimes.
Google's presence in neighboring China.

Use of the Internet is very limited in North Korea where few people have access to computers and the vast majority of users only access the national intranet and not the world wide web.
